Computer literacy is increasingly important for accessing opportunities in our society. An understanding of computers is

becoming necessary to perform a growing

number of jobs and is needed to

pursue higher forms of education.

RIRC provides employment assistance to unemployed and job ready clients. These 2-3 week program (Job Club) focus on employment opportunities, trends and market demands and help clients by fine-tuning their job search skills.

Hidden Job Market
Follow-up Calls
Employment Maintenance
Career Opportunities

Cover Letters
Cold Calls to Employers
Job Interview Skills
Informational Interviews
Employment Standards Information
Lists of Potential Employers

BONUS: Job Club clients get the opportunity to practice keyboarding and word processing every day for 1.5 hours. They have the option to continue with these practice sessions for 3 to 4 weeks after completing the Job Club. They also have the option to learn basics of Internet and Email.

Monday to Friday (call office for start dates)

1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
4:30 pm to 6:00 pm (computers optional)
